The Rhinelander chain also offers more than average of Small mouth Bass and Northern Pike, including some impressive sized Crappies! Walleyes are also present along with an abundant amount of pan fish / various species. So, if you are looking for a "hot spot" to fish or ice fish, look no further because you have just found it!

Recreational Opportunities on the Rhinelander Chain
The Rhinelander Chain offers many recreational opportunities for people of all ages. Snowmobiling couldn't be any closer being that the trail goes right across Boom Lake. You can fish in the Boom Lake Ice Fishing Jamboree, or in the summertime, you can fish one of the numerous state musky tournaments, or anchor your boat and cast a line. On those hot summer days, you may prefer a Pontoon. Jet ski, or boat ride, or maybe you'd like to get into one of the numerous Poker runs. You can travel about 5 miles North up the scenic Wisconsin River, or you can travel within the four lakes and stop for lunch at one of the restaurants / taverns that are located on the Chain.
